Belknap County Commissioners Ask AG To Investigate Financial Mismanagement At Gunstock

Belknap County Commissioner Norm Silber says an audit of Gunstock Mountain Resort will allegedly show financial mismanagement and wrong doing by the management team.

“There will be an investigation and some aspects will be referred to the Attorney General”, Silber said on Good Morning New Hampshire.

The Pulse of New Hampshire has learned County Commissioners wrote a letter to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella calling for an investigation.

The letter, signed by Peter Spanos, asks the agency to monitor a seven million dollar deposit made to Gunstock’s accounts, and recommending the AG thoroughly examine the past and present conduct and actions of Commissioners Ness and Strang with respect to their actions with Gunstock’s former management team and any indices of a conflict of interest.

Silber told Jack Heath he is not sure when Gunstock will reopen fully but he does believe a new management team should be put in place as soon as possible.
