The U.S. Surgeon General is bringing attention to what’s being called an ” epidemic of loneliness and isolation.” Dr. Vivek Murthy released an advisory saying a lack of connection in the United States increases the risk for premature death to more than 60 percent.

Recent research cited in the report show about half of American adults experience loneliness daily, something that happened even before the COVID-19 pandemic began. The Nation’s doctor joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to discuss the findings.
