NHL Star Zdeno Chara Retires As Member Of Boston Bruins

After a career that lasted more than two decades, Zdeno Chara has announced his time as a member of the National Hockey League is over. Chara signed a one-day contract so he could retire as a member of the Boston Bruins, a team he spent 14 seasons with. He was a six-time All-Star and also earned the Norris Trophy which is given to the NHL’s top defender. Chara was on the Boston Bruins team that won the Stanley Cup in 2011, and also played with the New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators and the Washington Capitals.
