Child Airlifted After Falling in Fire Pit

A child suffered severe burns after falling into a fire pit in Merrimack.

First responders were called to a house on Mayhew Road around four o’clock yesterday afternoon.

The child was reportedly airlifted to a Boston hospital by the Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team.

The victim’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
