Drug Overdoses Continue To Climb In Nashua, Manchester

Some new data shows that drug overdoses continue to be a significant problem in two of the state’s largest cities.

“A disturbing trend nationally and unfortunately New Hampshire appears to be following along”, Chris Stawasz, Regional Director of American Medical Response told Jack Heath.

Stawasz says there were 71 drug overdoses in Nashua and Manchester last month, and 14 of them ended up being fatal.

AMR says since the start of the year, its medics have responded to nearly 300 overdoses and many involved drugs laced with fentanyl.

As a reminder, anyone who needs help with drug addiction can dial 211 for assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
