Man Arrested In Connection With Murder of 11 Year Old Salem Girl Due In Court

(Lawrence, MA) — An Alabama man who has been arrested in connection with the murder of an 11-year-old Salem, New Hampshire girl is expected to be back in court this week.

Prosecutors say 74-year-old Marvin McClendon will face a judge in Lawrence District Court in Massachusetts on Friday.

McClendon was taken into custody last month and was charged as a fugitive from justice based on an arrest warrant issued for the killing of Melissa Tremblay.

Tremblay was found stabbed to death in a Massachusetts rail yard back in 1988.
