Hurricane Lee is expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds to the New England coast Friday.
The National Hurricane Center says Lee will likely still be a large and dangerous cyclone when it reaches southeastern New England late Friday night.
It’s projected to move over Maine and Atlantic Canada this weekend.
A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect across coastal portions of New Hampshire and Maine.
Forecasters are calling for large, pounding surf and three feet of storm surge.
