Major Coastal Road Flooded In NH; Power Outages

Route 1A, known as Ocean Boulevard, was closed this morning due to flooding in Hampton, North Hampton and Rye from today’s powerful storm.

People were also advised not to drive through high water because vehicles were stalling out tying up first-responders.

There is also some wind damage to buildings along the Hampton Beach commercial strip.

Several signs were brought down in the wind, also with siding along on the Palace Playland Arcade.

There was a high wind warning and concern about beach erosion along the coast.

As of mid-morning, over seven-thousand power outages were reported statewide.
