NH Has 15,000 Hearings Pending Over Federal Unemployment Fraud

The CEO of LexisNexis saying on Good Morning New Hampshire the Division of Employment Security is investigating more than 15,000 pending hearings in the state for federal unemployment fraud related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It was easier to commit fraud, then it was to be legitimate and get a benefit. The people who stole the money were not in the UK, they were in Russia, China, Nigeria and Romania”, Woody Talcove told Jack Heath.

“Of the $200 billion dollars dished out, 70% of it went to trans-national criminal groups never to be found, the money is never coming back”, Tavcove said.
