Two Weeks After Hurricane Ida Hit, Communities Still Without Electricity

As power continues to come back in Louisiana, many residents are returning to their homes for the first time to survey damage from Hurricane Ida.

A New Hampshire businessman has been in New Orleans helping with the recovery efforts.

“The situation in New Orleans is a little bit better, but a few towns over it’s rough”, says Joe Scroggins.

Scroggins, from Service Master Elite says his crew has completed 20 projects at churches and shopping centers, and they are now moving on to Hotels in the area.

He says some cities and towns will remain without electricity through the entire month.
