Pollen Season Hits Northeast And Getting Worse

People in New Hampshire and Maine with seasonal allergies can expect symptoms to continue through the upcoming week.

Pollen counts will remain very high through Friday, with a slight drop possible over the weekend.

Warm, sunny weather has allowed trees to bloom, and limited rainfall has done little to keep pollen levels in check.

Tree pollen season has hit the Northeast hard and is expected to get worse as it continues through May.

Departments of Health say asthma emergency room visits are up, especially in children, and so are over-the-counter sales of allergy medications.
