Gov. Sununu Meeting With State Dept. To Discuss J1 Visa Program

(Washington, DC) — Governor Sununu will be in Washington, DC today to meet with members of the State Department.

The governor is going to be discussing the J1 visa program which allows foreign workers to come to New Hampshire and help businesses during the busy summer tourism season.

During the COVID-19 health crisis, participation in the program dropped dramatically and Sununu, along with two other governors, say additional economic damage will be done if things do not return to normal soon.

Sununu is scheduled to return to the state tomorrow.
