Fire Burns an Acre of Hampton Beach State Park

The cause of a brush fire at Hampton Beach Saturday morning is still under investigation.

Hampton Fire crews responded around 3 a.m. Saturday after someone called to report a bonfire on the beach.

The fire had spread in the marsh grasses along the sand dunes near the south end of Hampton Beach State Park.

More than an acre of land was burned in the fire.
