Friday-Afternoon Vehicle Collision in Candia Leaves One Hospitalized
State police are investigating Friday’s vehicle collision along Route 101 in Candia that left a motorist hospitalized.
Officials say it happened around 2:30pm when a Subaru Impreza driven by Michael Mallet veered into the path of an oncoming pickup towing a trailer.
The impact reportedly sent both vehicles into the center median, at which point the pickup and trailer overturned at speed.
The driver of the pickup, ID’d as 24-year-old David Dooley, of Londonderry, reportedly was hospitalized with a minor head injury.
No one else was hurt.
Police say the crash prompted a 90-minute closure of a westbound lane of Route 101.
