NH State Police Issue Phone Scam Warning

New Hampshire residents are warned there’s an ongoing phone scam in which callers impersonate a state trooper.
The scam caller threatens arrest unless immediate payment of a fine is made via Western Union or a gift card.
Scammers have used the names of actual State Police employees and sometimes have personal information about the call recipient.
Anyone who has been a victim of the scam is urged to file a report with their local police department.
