Former Milford High Substitute Teacher is Charged

A former substitute teacher and band assistant at Milford High School faces multiple charges for the alleged assault of a minor.

Channel 9 reported Emanuel “Manny” Mendez was arrested earlier this week after police were made aware of the allegations against him in March.

Police said the alleged victim is under the age of 16, but no other details were released.

Mendez was a substitute from October of 2021 until February of this year, and a band drill instructor since 2014.
