Hampton Beach Rental Damaged by Fire

A rental cottage was significantly damaged in a fire at Hampton Beach Monday with one occupant escaping uninjured.

The fire at 23 M Street was reported by two 911 calls at 3:45 p.m.

The cottage is owned by Nautical Beach Properties, and the occupant was alerted by a neighbor in time to get out safely.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries in responding.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
