New Hampshire Woman Dead Following Crash in Maine
A New Hampshire woman is dead following Thursday’s single-vehicle crash in Lebanon, Maine.
State officials say 76-year-old Farmington resident Billie Laferte was a passenger in the vehicle when it veered off the road and crashed into a tree at around 10 a.m.
First responders reportedly spent more than an hour extricating Laferte, who had suffered serious injuries in the crash, from the damaged vehicle before she was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Officials say she succumbed to her injuries sometime later.
The driver and a second passenger suffered unspecified injuries in the crash.
