Vehicle Fire Near Portsmouth and Maine Bridge

A vehicle fire on I-95 near the bridge that links New Hampshire and Maine caused significant traffic backups Tuesday morning.

The northbound side of the highway was closed for about an hour between exit 7 in Portsmouth and exit 1 in Kittery, Maine.

I-95 reopened around 9:40 a.m.

Channel 9 also reported no information about any injuries was released.
