Sununu Says Legal Issues Drain Trump’s Campaign Chest
A Nikki Haley surrogate says he believes former President Trump’s legal battles will cause him to run out of campaign resources.
Speaking on Fox News Sunday, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu noted a recent campaign finance filing that showed Trump had spent $50-million-dollars on legal fees.
In addition to legal fees, a judge on Friday ordered Trump to pay more than $350-million-dollars in fines in his civil fraud case.
That came just three weeks after a jury awarded E. Jean Carroll $83-million-dollars in her defamation case against Trump.
Sununu added the RNC has a ‘record low amount of cash on hand’ to be able to help with the former president’s campaign.
