A local police officer is slightly bruised but not broken after he lost control of his cruiser and crashed Saturday afternoon in Moultonborough.
Department sources say the officer, who was not identified, had been headed east on Route 25 near Sheridan Road when his vehicle strayed off the road and crashed into an embankment around 2:30 p.m.
Fellow motorists reportedly stopped and helped pull him out of the wreckage.
