New Hampshire Legislation to Loosen Eviction Guidelines Passes
Legislation that would loosen current eviction guidelines has cleared the state House of Representatives.
The measure would allow landlords to terminate a tenant’s lease without cause instead of having to give a reason at the end of the current contract.
Supporters say it would encourage landlords to take in people with poor rental histories since they could end a lease once it concludes if they wanted to.
The legislation is now in the hands of the state Senate.
