Elderly Hiker Rescued in Nelson

An elderly hiker was rescued Monday when she suffered a serious leg injury after she slipped and fell.

82-year-old Susan Turner of Cambridge, Massachusetts, was on the Partridge Woods Trail in Nelson with four other hikers at the time.

She was taken to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene. New Hampshire Fish and Game noted Turner was properly dressed and prepared for the hike.
