Ex-Rockingham County Jail Worker Faces Charges for Coercing Sex Acts from Inmates
A former corrections officer is facing felony charges alleging he coerced two inmates at the Rockingham County Jail into sexual acts while employed there last year.
Cruz Rivera is facing one count of sexual assault and one for attempted felonious sexual assault.
The charges are Class B felonies, which each carry up to seven years of incarceration.
