Final People Leave Rochester Homeless Camp

The last four remaining members of a homeless encampment outside First Church Congregational were getting ready to leave as the city’s deadline approached Monday morning.

After receiving a call from the church and complaints from neighbors, city of Rochester leaders had given people in the encampment more than two weeks notice to leave.

City officials had stated police would clear anyone who remained.

Police were not called to help Monday morning.
