Firefighters Rescue Deer on Crystal Lake
Firefighters rescued a deer on Sunday morning that went through the ice on Crystal Lake.
The Gilmanton Firefighters’ Association said they responded around 8 a.m and found a deer went through the ice about 200 yards from shore, the association said.
The association said Gilmanton firefighters and firefighters from the Alton Fire Department performed the ice rescue and rescued the deer.
The association said the deer was tired, shivering and exhausted but last seen up and walking around.
