Former NH Lawmaker in Custody for Alleged Transfer of Child Sex-Abuse Images
A former New Hampshire state lawmaker is facing charges after she allegedly transferred child sex-abuse images.
Prosecutors say former state Representative Stacie Laughton, who was arrested Thursday afternoon, is charged with knowingly transferring visual representations of children engaging in sexual conduct.
Officials say Laughton admitted to federal investigators that she took multiple images of children in a private bathroom at a Massachusetts children’s learning center.
Prosecutors say some of those images featured children as young as three years old.
Officials say Laughton remains in custody.
