I-95 Reopened At Piscataqua River Bridge

(Portsmouth, NH) — I-95 has reopened in both directions over the Piscataqua River Bridge.

The highway was closed northbound and southbound for several hours this morning.

Police first responded to the bridge, which links Portsmouth and Kittery, Maine, around 6:30 a.m. for an incident involving a man in distress.

The incident caused a traffic backup for miles.

Police say the man was taken into custody and transported to the hospital.
