Jury Seated in Manchester Child Abandonment Trial

A jury is now seated in connection with the child abandonment trial of Alexandra Eckersley.

She is accused of abandoning her newborn son in a tent in Manchester on Christmas night in 2022.

After giving birth, Eckersley allegedly misled rescue workers about where the tent was set up before the child was found.

The infant survived and is living with Eckersley and her mother in Massachusetts. Opening statements in the case are Thursday.
