Legalized Marijuana Bill Goes to NH House

A bill to legalize adult use of marijuana in New Hampshire is one step closer to reality.

The Senate passed a measure late Thursday night that largely reflects what Governor Chris Sununu has said he would support.

Indepthnh.org reported it would allow the state Liquor Commission to establish up to 15 stores which would open for business on January 1st, 2026.

Supporters complained the Senate amended version of the original House bill means people would continue to buy marijuana in other states until 2026.
