Man Claiming to be Police Tried to Burn Neighbor’s House

A man is facing charges after tossing a Molotov cocktail into his neighbor’s home.

It happened in Deerfield recently after Joshua Leighton knocked on his neighbor’s door holding a machete, claiming to be police.

The neighbor then says Leighton tossed the incendiary device through the window, causing the living room to catch on fire.

The neighbor called 911, the fire was put out, and police arrested Leighton who told responding officers that he was with the FBI.
