Man Waits Sentencing on Federal Charges in Manchester

A former New York resident awaits sentencing in June.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in New Hampshire said 43-year-old Michael Villanueva pleaded guilty Friday to escaping from the Hampshire House Residential Reentry Center in Manchester back in January.

He was at large for three weeks before he was captured in the Manchester area.

Villanueva had previously served prison time on a federal drug conviction in Vermont.
