Morse Leads Delegation to Tour Southern Border
Concord, NH – Senate President Chuck Morse today announced he is leading a delegation of New Hampshire Sheriffs to tour the southern border in and around McAllen Texas.
The tour will include a briefing from Texas Department of Public Safety regarding “Operation Lonestar”, an ongoing operation that has already seized hundreds of millions of lethal doses of fentanyl, and a tour of operations along the southern border.
Morse was invited by Governor Greg Abbott, “to tour the border and view our progress as we work to keep this deadly drug off our streets and out of our communities. This is a problem facing all Americans, and I welcome the support of other leaders to keep the United States the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Morse extended an invitation to the tour and briefing to all ten New Hampshire County Sheriffs and will be joined on the tour by four of them — Bill Wright of Belknap County; Chris Connelly of Hillsborough County; John Simonds of Sullivan County; and Chuck Massahos of Rockingham County.
“While it is unfortunate that the Biden Administration has chosen to ignore its duties to protect our safety and national security, the actions taken by the state of Texas to complete the border wall and help control the border will benefit the rest of the nation, including the Granite State,” said Morse.
