New Development in Ongoing Legal Case of Pamela Smart
There’s a brand-new development in the ongoing legal case of Pamela Smart.
She’s now requesting a commutation hearing involving her sentence of life behind bars without the possibility of parole.
Smart has been in prison for decades after being convicted of conspiring to have her husband murdered at the couple’s Derry home in 1990.
Smart now says she’s the only person to blame for her spouse’s death.
The governor’s office says Smart will be given the same opportunity for a commutation hearing as everyone else.
The murder inspired the 1995 movie ‘To Die For’ starring Nicole Kidman and Joaquin Phoenix.
