Federal Grant for UNH Fisheries Research

The University of New Hampshire is getting a nearly $300,000 federal grant to support fisheries research.

The funding through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will address the needs of fishing communities and the development of ways to maintain sustainable fisheries.

Senator Jeanne Shaheen said fisheries support the economy of the state’s coastal communities and are part of the Granite State’s cultural identity.
