New Lane to Help Ease Congestion on Interstate 95 near Portsmouth
The state Department of Transportation is helping out travelers who will be on Interstate 95 near Portsmouth this holiday weekend.
The agency says a part-time shoulder use system on a three-mile stretch of highway between New Hampshire and Maine should help ease traffic congestion.
There will be warning signs activated to let drivers know when the system is being used. Additional police patrols are also planned for that area to help keep people safe.
