NH DOT Issuing Warning To Drivers About Scam

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is warning drivers about an ongoing scam.

The agency says people have reported getting text messages that say they have outstanding tolls to pay.

The texts appear to be from NH Pass and say recipients will be fined if they don’t cover their unpaid balance and a link is provided sending people to a scam website.

The DOT says it’ll never contact customers about unpaid tolls this way and they can check their accounts on the official E-ZPass site.
