One person was killed, and another was seriously injured in a crash yesterday on Interstate 93 in Bow. Upon arriving to the scene, investigators said police found a sedan and SUV on fire. The driver of the sedan, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Both sides of Interstate 95 in Greenland were reopened today after a serious crash last night. New Hampshire State Police said Northbound I-95 was closed at Exit 2 and southbound was closed at Exit 3 due to a serious crash near mile marker 11. North Hampton Fire & Rescue said they responded for multiple injured people. Wednesday night’s crash is the latest in a series of deadly and serious crashes on the stretch of I-95.
A person walking on railroad tracks in Exeter was struck and killed by a train yesterday afternoon. Amtrak officials reported that a person was walking on the tracks between Front Street and Powder Mill Road when the southbound train struck the person from behind. The victim’s identity has not been released. Investigators said the person probably did not realize the train was approaching.
