No one is hurt after flames damaged a home Thursday night in Franklin. Fire officials say crews were called to the blaze at Ten Hutchinson Street around 7:15 p.m. They found the home’s garage fully engulfed in flames extending to the home itself. Additional crews were called to the scene to help extinguish four vehicles in front of the home that had caught fire. One person was treated at the scene and released. No one else was hurt. The cause remains under investigation.
Two men are facing charges after they allegedly stole merchandise from a Salem Home Depot this week. They reportedly then got into a brief fight with an off-duty police detective outside the store on South Broadway. Police say 46-year-old Nathan Calabrese [[ kah-lah-BREE-see ]] and 40-year-old James Geary were able to break free and flee in a vehicle. However, another police officer followed their car to Cliff Crossing Road and arrested them. The two are accused to stealing about a thousand dollars’ worth of tools from the store.
Charges have been announced for a 25-year-old Manchester man linked to an early October hit-and-run crash in Nashua. Nathaniel Duehart was charged with conduct after an accident resulting in injury, which is a Class B felony. He’s also being charged with misdemeanor simple assault for his alleged role in the October 4th crash at the Dunkin’ Donuts on East Hollis Street. Police say a female had been hit by an angry motorist, who then fled the scene. A court date is pending
