Person in Custody After Shots Fired Friday at Belmont Strip Mall

One person is in custody after shots were fired Friday at Belmont’s Belknap Marketplace.

Police say officers were called to the strip mall’s parking lot early Friday afternoon.

Officers reportedly appeared to focus on an area in front of the mall’s Joann fabric store.

However, department officials declined to comment on their investigation, nor did they identify the person who was taken into custody.
