Possible Catholic Medical Center Merger with HCA Healthcare

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester may merge with HCA Healthcare which owns hospitals in Derry, Portsmouth, and Rochester.

CMC has signed a non-binding letter of intent to begin the process of a potential merger.

The medical center said joining HCA would enhance its long-term financial viability.

While it would no longer be a non-profit, a spokesperson said CMC would continue to operate as a Catholic hospital.
