Record NH Turnout Predicted for General Election

The New Hampshire secretary of state is predicting record voter turnout for Tuesday’s general election.

Secretary of State David Scanlan said he’s predicting that 824,000 Granite State voters will turn out Tuesday to vote for president, governor and members of Congress.

New Hampshire consistently has one of the highest rates of voter participation in the country, and turnout typically increases in a presidential election year.

Scanlan said there will also likely be a high number of people registering to vote on Election Day. He said a checklist verification was completed in 2021 that removed the names of inactive voters, and many of those voters are expected to re-register on Election Day.
