Santa Demand Up in Recent Years

While Santa Claus gets prepared for his annual flight around the world, his helpers fill a needed role.

The New England Santa Society says stand-ins for St. Nick are in demand, especially over the past five years.

Cofounder and spokesperson Dan Greenleaf says there is no shortage of those wishing to play Santa.

He adds no one plays Santa, but personifies him and the main thing in front of kids is to be sincere, and they will believe.
