State Officials Seek Answers After Fire Leads to Discovery of Body at Epping Apartment
State officials are investigating Wednesday morning’s apartment fire in Epping that left a man dead.
Sources with the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office say crews were called to the complex at 153 Coffin Road around 7:45 a.m., arriving to find flames coming from a unit’s garage.
Upon extinguishing the flames, they discovered human remains.
The victim’s identity reportedly is being withheld as their investigation is ongoing. Officials said that an autopsy is pending.
