Student Enrollment Continues Downward Trend in New Hampshire
At the start of the current school year there were about 165,100 students enrolled in public schools and public charter schools in New Hampshire.
According to the state Department of Education that’s a 1.4% drop from the last academic year.
The Boston Globe reported the state has been losing about 2,200 students annually for the last 20 years.
There were more than 200,000 students enrolled in 2002.
