Suspect Linked to Last Week’s Fatal Stabbing in Manchester Behind Bars

A Manchester man accused of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend last week is behind bars.

Police say Robert Eastman was charged Friday with second-degree murder for his alleged role in the death of Laurie Maclellan inside her Hanover Street apartment.

Eastman was arrested shortly after midnight Thursday morning after police were called to a Rapid Refill gas station in Merrimack.

Responding officers say Eastman’s clothes were stained with blood.

Around the same time, other officers reportedly discovered Maclellan’s body inside her apartment.

She was declared dead at the scene.
