Testing For Pease

Testing For Pease

Andrea Amico from Portsmouth started an advocacy group called Testing For Pease to advocate for families such as hers who were contaminated from the drinking water over the years at the Pease Tradeport in Portsmouth, NH.

The goal is help researchers study the harmful effects of PFAS in children because high levels of PFAS chemicals were present in the drinking water at Pease prior to 2014. These chemicals can be passed from mother to child during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The goal is to test whether exposure to PFAS in drinking water affects a healthy immune response to vaccinations in children. Andrea joined Mike Pomp on the Morning Information Center to share the latest information and how you can test your children.
