Buildings Evacuated in Franklin, City Hall Closed

Several buildings in Franklin were evacuated Wednesday because of an odor of gasoline.

Authorities said the evacuation of businesses and residential units on Central Street was out of an abundance of caution.

As a further precaution, City Hall and the Public Library were closed Thursday.

According to the city’s website the source of the odor was identified.
