City to Vote on Contract with Concord Firefighters
The city of Concord is scheduled to vote on a new contract with its firefighters.
The two-year union contract would give Concord firefighters a 4% raise next year if passed.
The contract is between the city and the International Association of Fire Fighters and will not only give firefighters a raise, but will make Juneteenth a paid holiday and add additional training for EMT advanced recertification.
The contract will cost the city an extra $243,000 next year and $257,000 the year after.
