Concord Hospital Awarded Arts in Health Grant

Concord Hospital has been awarded a $5,500 Arts in Health grant.

The money from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts will provide therapeutic music to support the mental health of hospital patients including those with dementia, substance abuse, or mental and behavioral health issues.

Research has shown therapeutic music can reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure, or divert a patent’s mind from their physical pain.
